  • Delivery is Door-to-door only. Our courier partners are unable to take items into rooms, up stairs etc.
  • We do not offer refunds or exchanges due to 'change of mind'. Please ensure you get in touch with our friendly team to ensure each product is right for you.

Despite every effort to provide accurate images of each product's colour finish, actual colours may vary slightly, due to different device screen settings, the lighting in the installation location, slight differences in product finishes over time and other factors. We will not accept responsibility for any colour or design differences that are not factory faults. In purchasing from us, you agree to accept the risk that there will be a slight variation between the actual colour and design, and the representation on our website. 

*Hair colour & bleach reacts to the gold-plated surfaces. If hair colour or bleach comes into contact with the gold-plated surface it will develop & penetrate the surface causing staining that will be impossible to remove. Please note this type of damage will not be covered under warranty.

This website is made available by us, Best Step Forward Pty ltd (Tommy Finch) and all references to ‘we’ and ‘us’ are to Tommy Finch. All visitors to our website are referred to as ‘you’.

1. The Contract between us

A binding contract for the sale and purchase of goods between you and us will come into effect when you place your order online or directly with us. confirmation of order and an order reference number will be sent to the e-mail address provided by you on the registration form.
All products and product information available on this website are intended for qualified or training professionals such as hairdressers, beauty therapists, barbers and nail technicians only and are for sale on a strictly business to business basis. Customers should be competent in using the products sold on this website. Best Step Forward Pty ltd (Tommy Finch) will not be held responsible for any injury or damages in unqualified users of our products. We reserve the right to ask for proof of professional status, and refuse the order if we believe the person not to be a trade customer. As a business user, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using. Products on this site are not for sale to members of the general public.

2. Price and payment

We reserve the right to revise at any time the price of goods offered for sale on our website without notice. All orders for goods are subject to availability and Tommy Finch reserves the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company for whatever reason.

All prices are inclusive of GST (10%) and are quoted in Australian dollar.

Payment in full is required prior to the dispatch of goods. We accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Cash and Direct Deposit as our payment methods. We strictly do not accept cheques.

Tommy Finch is happy to accept deposit payments for in stock items, however the maximum time held for orders are 30 days. Failure to pay any monies owed will mean your order will be forfeited and a 20% cancellation fee will be charged.

Deposit payments are non refundable and must be a minimum of 30% of your total order value. Stock is not secured till we receive your deposit payment.

3. Pre Orders

Pre-ordering your items with either a deposit or full payment, will place a hold on your items on incoming deliveries. All pre-orders are allocated in a first in first served basis. All indicated dates for pre-orders are estimates only (ETA) and

4. Delivery

We try to deliver the goods in accordance with the delivery times and charges set out below. Please note the delivery times stated on our website are indicative only and we are not responsible for any delays as we use a third party courier. Neither Tommy Finch or their designated carrier will accept claims for consequential loss due to late deliveries.

3a. Delivery times and delivery charges

We aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible and orders for in-stock items will normally be processed and dispatched between 1 to 2 working days from order, depending on the items ordered. Deliveries can take up to 1-7 days depending on your location. Extra charges may apply for large furniture or bulky items.

We reserve the right to charge a re-delivery fee of $38.50 if you are not available to accept or receive the goods when delivered to you. Please note any backorder items will be shipped as soon as they become available. There will be no additional charge for this delivery.

3b. Furniture Deliveries

Goods will be sent by our nominated carrier service. Delivery charges vary according to location and goods ordered; this will be confirmed after the receipt of the order. We might contact you with further details when your order has been placed. As we have to rely on carriers etc, no deliveries can be guaranteed, although every effort will be made to carry out the delivery on the stated day.

4. Tax and other charges

We charge 10% GST on all orders.

5. Refund Policy

Tommy Finch does not offer refunds or exchanges for ‘change of mind’.

Situations such as the product won't "work" in your space, the dimensions of the product don't fit your space (where dimensions are supplied on product listings) or other minor differences such as stitching pattens etc. will not be accepted as reason for refund. Please ensure you have asked our staff all questions prior to purchase to ensure your product is suitable for you.

Can I cancel an order?

Please keep in mind that when you order items and pay a deposit they are put aside for you and we are unable to sell these to other clients. Cancelling your order puts us, as a business in a difficult position.

If we can process your cancellation before your item is picked and packed, you will receive a refund minus 20% cancellation fee of your total order value regardless of how much money has been paid. Unfortunately, if the order has shipped or has been packed and ready to ship before we are able to stop it, you will have to return the item under the conditions set out below and will be subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee to cover all the costs induced.

What about Pre-Orders or Back-orders?

In case we have placed a backorder we immediately have to make the payment to our suppliers to assure you are first in line to have the product shipped to you once it’s available. Once an order is confirmed the items are kept aside and marked as sold, which means that if you cancel the order for any reason you would be charged a 30% restocking fee.

Returned goods will only be accepted where a returns authorisation has been given. The relevant reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation. For your own protection, please obtain a receipt from the carrier, as the company accept no responsibility for lost parcels.

Goods which are given free, as part of an offer, are not exchangeable or refundable unless the full offer is returned, subject to normal terms and conditions.

Tommy Finch will only refund the amount of the goods excluding any freight costs, subject to our refund policies. Please ensure your product is eligible for a refund by thoroughly reading all refund policies. Please ensure you have contacted our team to answer any questions you may have prior to purchase.

Please allow up to 7 days for administration for any returned goods.

Tommy Finch advises all customers to make sure they order carefully as there will strictly be no refund once order has been placed and paid for. Again, only when authorisation is approved by management will a refund be accepted minus a 30% restocking charge from the total order placed.

6. Product descriptions

In describing the products available on our website we attempt to be as accurate as possible. Tommy Finch, however, does not warrant that products descriptions or other content of this website is accurate, complete, reliable or error-free.

7. Your account

If you use our website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account and all passwords. To place an order on this website, you must be a trading entity (or a professional beauty therapist or hairdresser) (over the age of 16 years) otherwise you are not entitled to complete the on-line registration form required to place an order. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts or cancel orders at our sole discretion. We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address given by you for delivery on the on-line registration form at the time of your order and by whatever means we reasonably consider appropriate.

8. User Behaviour

You may not use any of our Sites for any of the following purposes:

  • Disseminating any unlawful, harassing, libellous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material
  • Transmitting material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence, results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any relevant laws, regulations or code of practice
  • Gaining unauthorised access to other computer systems
  • Interfering with any other person’s use or enjoyment of our website
  • Breaching any laws concerning the use of public telecommunications networks
  • Interfering or disrupting networks or websites connected to the Tommy Finch Site
  • Making, transmitting or storing electronic copies of materials protected by copyright without the permission of the owner

9. Ownership of Goods

We will retain ownership of the goods you order until we receive full payment for the order including the applicable delivery charges (including any charges for re-delivery in accordance with the clauses set above). Once the goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

10. Product availability

All products availability is displayed on our website and subject to availability. If we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you we may, at our option, send a carefully selected substitute, alternatively, any sum debited to your credit card will be re-credited to your account and we will notify you by e-mail at the address given by you or by phone. The refund will be made as soon as possible after such notification and in any event within 7 days of receipt of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

11. Warranty

BEST STEP FORWARD PTY LTD (Tommy Finch) PROVIDES A BACK TO BASE WARRANTY TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER FROM THE DATE OF DELIVERY. PLEASE ENSURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE SPECIFIC WARRANTY CONDITIONS FOR YOUR PRODUCT OF INTEREST. TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

It is your responsibility to inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and contact us strictly within 7 days in writing at info@tommyfinch.com.au
You have the right to reject delivery of any goods that may not be deemed acceptable. Any claims after 7 days will strictly not be accepted and any shortage, damage or other deficiency will be deemed to have occurred after delivery to you.

All products sold on this website are intended for use by professionals in the salon and beauty trade and not for use by members of the general public except under the direct supervision of a trained professional and Tommy Finch and the hosts of this website accept no responsibility for and exclude any and all liability in connection with the use or misuse of any products purchased on this website.

WARRANTY OF FOAM

Seat and back inserts including foam inserts on some products are warranted for a period of 12 months. Loss of foam resiliency should not be confused with softening of foam or stretched covers, which may result from normal use. Owners of upholstered furniture should also expect foam to compact over time.

WARRANTY OF UPHOLSTERY

Our upholstery is warranted against tearing, seam slippage, fraying and cracking for a period of 12 months to 24 months depending on the item sold.

The warranty does not cover tears, flattening of nap, pilling, fading or shrinkage and is not valid when heavy soiling or abuse is evident.

The warranty does not cover normal fading, damage due to improper use, damage from lack of required caution and/or regular care and maintenance.

The warranty does not include stretching of fabric. This is normal and results from normal use. Exposure of fabric to direct sunlight or extreme light sources will cause fading and damage and is not covered by the warranty.

Best Step Forward Pty ltd (Tommy Finch) assumes no warranty obligations for defects arising from normal wear and tear, accidents, acts of God, negligence, misuse, abuse, shipping/handling or alteration of the products.

1 YEAR WARRANTY MECHANISM / HYDRAULIC PUMPS

Recliner mechanism’s including steel springs are warranted against breakage for a period of (1) year. Please note that this does not cover any type of minor sound or noise in the mechanism or unevenness in swivel mechanisms. This is normal and the result of general use.

Hydraulic pumps are warranted for a period of (1) year unless otherwise stated on the product page.

1 YEAR WARRANTY ELECTRICAL

Warranty period for defects of new motors and related parts are (1) year unless otherwise stated on the product page.

REQUIRED MAINTENANCE

Proper cleaning and making sure all fasteners are tightened must be performed regularly. Check and tighten all bolts, screws and knobs every (4) months on chairs.

Regular dusting with a damp, clean cloth and the use of appropriate cleaning and protection products performed every (4) months.

Soiled areas of upholstery should immediately be cleaned with appropriate cleaners. Do not use any cleaners that contain kerosene, silicon and/or solvents.

TO MAKE A CLAIM

Claims under this warranty will require dated proof of purchase, the product tracking number and receipt of the registered warranty, plus photographic images to support the claim. If you warranty claim is deemed to require fixing we will send out parts to replace damages. The claim should be made promptly following the discovery of any alleged defect.

Transportation to and from the retailer is the responsibility of the purchaser, including loss of time and packing.

12. Disclaimer

OTHER THAN AS EXPRESSLY SET OUT IN THESE CONDITIONS, Tommy Finch MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE OPERATION OF THIS WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION, CONTENT, MATERIALS OR PRODUCTS INCLUDED OR SUPPLIED ON THIS WEBSITE. TOMMY FINCH AND THE HOSTS OF THIS WEBSITE, THEREFORE, EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW INCLUDING BUT NO LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT OF THIS SERVICE, OUR PRODUCTS OR ANY MATERIALS.

EXCEPT IN RESPECT OF PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM NEGLIGENCE, TOMMY FINCH AND THE HOSTS OF THIS WEBSITE HEREBY EXCLUDE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS, LOSSES, DEMANDS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT OF ANY INFORMATION AND/OR SERVICES AND/OR PRODUCTS PROVIDED ON OR THROUGH THE WEBSITE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGES, COMPENSATORY DAMAGES OR LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA WHETHER BASED ON A BREACH OF CONTRACT OR WARRANTY, DEFICIT OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE.

13. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable in damages or have the right to terminate this Agreement for any delay or default in performing hereunder if such delay or default is caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government restrictions (including the denial or cancellation of any export or other necessary license), wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected.

14. Intellectual Property Rights

The content of the Tommy Finch site is protected by copyright, trade marks, database and other intellectual property rights. You may retrieve and display the content of the Tommy Finch site on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the Tommy Finch site without written permission from Tommy Finch.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate immediately your ability to use any of our internet services at any time.

16. General

These terms and conditions of purchase constitute the entire agreement between us and you relating to the purchase of our products and supersedes all other agreements or understandings between us and you.

Failure or neglect on our part to enforce at any time any of the provisions in these terms and conditions shall not be construed nor shall be deemed to be a waiver of our rights hereunder nor in any way effect the validity of the whole or any part of these terms and conditions nor prejudice our rights to take subsequent action.
If any provision in these terms and conditions is deemed to be illegal or unenforceable by any competent authority such terms and conditions shall to that extent be severed from the rest of the provision of these terms and conditions which will remain in full force and effect. We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
